SGN M02 is a bead mill developed for small- and pilot-scale testing. The grinding media on this equipment are tiny-sized beads; these beads are assembled on a cylindrical rotor, which spins rapidly and applies collision, shearing, and friction forces on the material, thereby achieving effective dispersion and particle size reduction. Beads are made of materials that do not cause metallic contamination, such as zirconia and alumina, to secure the quality of process outcome.
This model features a compact, integrated structure with comprehensive functions and enables easy assembly & disassembly. It is a multi-purpose unit useful in diverse laboratory situations, and it can be adopted in processing experiments of a wide range of materials. It is applicable in many cutting-edge R&D settings, such as experiments on performances of new materials. The experiment data on this machine can be proportionally scaled up to industrial models of the same series, which largely increases efficiency when transforming from lab-scale to full-scale manufacturing.
