The SGN40 high pressure homogenizer is targeted at handling highly viscous materials, or materials with solid-particle contents. The equipment uses a reciprocating plunger pump to increase the pressure of material to a very high level, then transports pressurized material to the homogenizing valve, where its pressure immediately drops from up to 1500 bar to ambient pressure. This process causes the material to be instantly crushed, ground, and dispersed into the continuous phase, resulting a stable and uniform mixture with particle fineness reduced to nanometre scale. Its excellent homogenization effect is achieved without involving a rotor-stator structure.
The equipment can be installed inline for continuous manufacturing, yet it also supports laboratory and pilot testings. It is equipped with a diamond valve assembly; it operates at a low noise level; it has multiple safety measures including over-pressure shutdown and overload protections. The machine also has a PLC system with a smart touchscreen, enabling real-time control and monitoring on operational statuses.
It is suitable in the disruption processes of cell, such as animal cell, bacteria, yeast, algae, and Escherichia coli; it may also be used in the emulsification of food, chemical and pharmaceutical products, such as liposome.
