SGN spiral jet mill is a conventional jet milling device invented earlier than the fluidized bed jet mill. Its operational principle is as follows: compressed gas is introduced through a feed nozzle, carrying raw material into the grinding chamber; driven by high-speed gas streams ejected from multiple nozzles, the material is propelled tangentially against the grinding chamber wall, achieving a friction-based grinding effect. The fineness is controlled by adjusting the longitudinal depth of the grinding chamber, the grinding pressure, and feed rate. The equipment's inner wall is made of a single piece of sintered ceramic that has strong wear resistance.
SGN spiral jet mill is suitable for ultra-fine grinding of dry powder materials. It creates a strong impact with speed of over 2.5 Mach; general materials can be easily ground to a particle size of 1-10 microns. It will not cause blockages that reduce grinding efficiency, and compared to fluidized bed jet mills, this equipment has better grinding results for sticky materials. Similar as the fluidized bed jet mill, the spiral jet mill also features advantages of no temperature increase, no contamination, small occupied space, and low operational noise.
